1. Scope and service operator

Who this policy covers and how to contact NewTXT.

  • This policy applies to NewTXT.io websites, accounts, APIs, hosted translation widgets, WordPress and framework integrations, support, billing, and related localization services.
  • NewTXT operates the service and processes customer and visitor information as described here. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the NewTXT contact page.

2. Information we process

Account, service, website, and diagnostic information used by the platform.

  • Account information may include a name, email address, authentication records, organization or team membership, plan, billing status, and support correspondence.
  • Service configuration may include registered domains, source and target languages, URL and widget settings, API-key identifiers, usage totals, translation jobs, glossary entries, and integration status.
  • Localization data may include public page URLs, visible public page text, translatable attributes, public image URLs, bounded SEO metadata, translation results, and rendered public-page snapshots needed to provide translations.
  • Technical data may include IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, security events, API diagnostics, and error records. Secrets, authorization headers, and private keys are not intentionally included in application logs.

3. WordPress and hosted widget data

What the NewTXT WordPress plugin and hosted loader exchange with the service.

  • Connecting the WordPress plugin sends the registered site URL and a dashboard-issued API key to verify the domain and issue domain-bound integration credentials.
  • Authenticated plugin requests may send a public page path, requested language, URL mode, bounded source-page SEO metadata, cache instructions, and allow-listed widget or language settings.
  • Public browsers download the hosted widget loader and configuration from cdn.newtxt.io. When client-side translation is needed, the loader may send visible translatable page text, public page context, and eligible public image references to NewTXT translation endpoints.
  • The plugin can store translation artifacts and optional public-page snapshots in the customer's own WordPress database and uploads directory. Full source HTML storage is disabled by default and should not be enabled for personalized or private pages.

4. Why information is used

The limited purposes for which NewTXT processes information.

  • Provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve translation, localization, multilingual SEO, account, billing, and support features.
  • Authenticate users and integrations, verify registered domains, prevent abuse, enforce quotas, process customer instructions, and maintain service reliability.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of customers, visitors, NewTXT, and the public.
  • Use consent where required for optional analytics or similar technologies. Visitors can review or change analytics choices from the site footer.

5. Service providers and disclosure

When information may be shared and the limits applied to it.

  • NewTXT may use infrastructure, security, email, billing, analytics, and AI or translation providers to operate requested features. Providers receive only information needed for their role and are expected to protect it.
  • Information may be disclosed when required by law, to address fraud or security incidents, to protect legal rights, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • NewTXT does not sell personal information or customer website content. Public translated pages may be delivered to visitors and search engines when a customer enables publication.

6. Retention and deletion

How long information is kept and how customer-controlled copies are handled.

  • Information is retained only for as long as needed to provide the service, satisfy customer configuration, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
  • Retention periods vary by record type. Cached translations and page snapshots may be refreshed or removed when customers clear caches, delete sites, disable storage, or request account deletion, subject to backups and legal requirements.
  • The WordPress plugin keeps local data after deactivation. Customers can opt in to removing plugin-owned tables and storage during uninstall from the plugin settings.

7. Security

Safeguards used to reduce unauthorized access and misuse.

  • NewTXT uses access controls, encrypted network transport, domain-bound credentials, signed server requests, rate limits, tenant isolation, and operational monitoring appropriate to the service.
  • No system can guarantee absolute security. Customers must protect their credentials, restrict administrative access, and report suspected compromise promptly.

8. International processing

How cross-border service operation is handled.

  • NewTXT and its providers may process information in countries other than the visitor's or customer's country. Where required, NewTXT uses contractual or other lawful safeguards for international transfers.

9. Choices and privacy rights

Controls available to customers and visitors.

  • Depending on applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent for personal information associated with them.
  • Customers can manage account and site settings, disable the widget, change storage preferences, clear translation caches, remove sites, and contact support for account or data requests.
  • NewTXT may need to verify identity and authority before completing a request. Some information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the rights of others.

10. Children, updates, and contact

Age limits, policy changes, and the privacy contact route.

  • NewTXT accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or older. The service is not directed to children, and NewTXT does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
  • This policy may be updated as the service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date are published on this page.
  • Privacy questions and verified rights requests can be submitted through newtxt.io/contacts.
